Melisa doesn’t know this, but when we signed the contract last August for me to shoot her wedding, that was the first official step that I’d be walking away from baseball. I’d been thinking about it for a while, and had other offseason shoots booked, but Melisa and Dave’s wedding was the first that I booked smack dab in the middle of baseball season.
I couldn’t have made a better decision. And their wedding day? Wow. Mel was an absolutely gorgeous bride and Jess and I had a blast sharing the day with her and Dave.
We started at Mel’s mom’s house in West Hartford.

From there we headed to the chapel at Avon Old Farms where Mel’s mom teaches and where we did their engagement photos back in the fall. Mel was all smiles, all day.

A few post-ceremony portraits.

Then it was off to the Simsbury Inn for a little partying.

Always a personal fave, some ring fun.
