With all the fancy shiny newness around here, I thought today would be a good time to break in the new blog design with some of my favorite images from Ellen and Chris’s recent wedding at Blithewold Mansion. I spent the entire week before the wedding checking the weather – the forecast varied from a 30 percent chance of rain, to as much as 90 percent all day, and it wasn’t until probably 45 minutes before the ceremony that we knew they’d be able to hold it outside. That kind of stress might drive some couples crazy, but even if it had hurricaned, I’m sure these two would have rolled with it and still had a great day. Also, special thanks to Carolyn for filling in for Jess on the assistant front (Jess said something about a “real” job, and having to work Fridays
You know a wedding is going to rock when you meet the guys at the hotel and they’re making jokes about being late to the wedding because Wayne’s World was on.

Which Chris then used to practice his vows, after a quick hair fix.

This next image is more of an indicator of heat, not a stressed out best man.

We then headed over to Blithewold to meet the ladies.

This…just happened, totally unprompted.

When we realized the rain was going to hold off, Ellen said, “You know what this means? Bridal party photo in the bamboo!”

First dance:

After the cake cutting, it was party time – check out this photo of Ellen’s nephew – he owned the dance floor!
