Doug Levy is a former professional baseball umpire turned wedding and portrait photographer. Doug attended umpire school after graduating from Syracuse in 2003 and spent six seasons on the field, reaching the AAA level before deciding a lifetime of 7:05 starts wasn't for him. He lives outside Boston with his wife Jessica and miniature schnauzer Bentley.
It’s no secret that I love receptions, they tend to be my favorite part of most weddings. Not that I don’t love the rest, but receptions are great because when you add one part great stories (toasts), one part great emotion (toasts, first dances, parent dances) and one part great party, you can’t go wrong.

Another tough category to narrow down the Best Of (I’m starting to think I should have called this series “my favorites” maybe next year). Regardless, the end of the year series continues today with my ceremony favorites from 2011.

We continue my “Best of 2011″ posts today with some of my favorite shots of my clients together on their wedding days. This was a tough category, but here are my favorites that really stood out. Looking at these, it seems there’s a lot of kissing going on at my weddings…not a bad thing!
